MedPro Group is an occupational health care provider based in Wooster Ohio. We operate a medical clinic which provides pre-placement, medical surveillance, regulatory and work-related illness and injury care services. We operate limited clinic operations at employer work-sites staffed by nurses to provide similar services and other wellness related services. We also provide these services and related training classes on demand at employer locations. Much of the on-site services is provided by registered nurses and practical nurses. Some services are provided by medical assistants and other medical personnel. Essentially, MedPro Group is dedicated to the health and safety of employees in the work place. Our mission: is to work toward the prevention of workplace illness and injury, but when it occurs, to work to minimize the impact upon both the employee and employer. Occupational health nursing involves a great deal of testing & training, including but not limited to: Hearing conservation Respiratory protection Substance Abuse Prevention Ergonomics First responder training In addition, nurses develop relationships with employees and counsel them in matters related to their general wellness and health care decisions. Many nurses come to occupational health toward the end of their careers and remark they wished they had done it sooner as they find it satisfying to make a difference. MedPro offers students of health care the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the field of occupational medicine.
